About The Role
RAC have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Digital Designer to join our Creative Studio in Bristol on a 6-month FTC (maternity cover). You would be joining our existing team of designers, copywriters and content editors, playing a key role in the ongoing development of this much-loved brand and taking our creative execution forward. The design team, within the studio is responsible for balancing business objectives and customer experience to generate RAC creative that consistently tells the story of the RAC brand across all media channels.
This role will be reporting to the Senior Creative Manager and supporting the RAC Digital, Brand and wider marketing teams. You will be required to work with our Marketing teams and Product Designers to turn wireframes/prototypes into beautiful, fully-featured designs and briefs into crafted printed customer focused materials. Along with recommendations to better the visual design of the RAC digital channels.
You’ll be based in Bradley Stoke, Bristol, on hybrid working hours – two days a week in the office.
Key skills and responsibilities:
- Creative direction & ownership of quality of design output.
- Work closely with RAC comms team to align offline and online.
- Develop design assets where required.
- Provide recommendations to better the RAC customer experience via all media channels.
- Develop digital designs prototypes into fully featured designs ready for development.
- Work closely with internal teams to maintain strong consistency of RAC visual design across all channels.
- Owning templates for designers – and sharing key learnings.
- Support the development of junior creative members.
- Manage and art director video and photoshoots as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Creative thinking.
- Great layout/typography/content structure.
- Excellent understanding of Digital/eCRM/DM and Marketing comms.
The ideal candidate will come from an agency or in-house background with extensive design experience and an excellent eye for detail. You’ll need to have superb knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with a good understanding of Figma. You’ll have experience of designing in all channels, and understanding the digital marketing tools, methods and process is also essential for this role.
You’ll be able to demonstrate a proven portfolio from large-scale project brief to final execution – working with many stakeholders and other multi-disciplinary designers. We’re after a team player, not a prima donna, we all roll our sleeves up and get stuck in when required.
Our Creative Studio can get very busy with new campaigns, so we’re looking for a self-starter who’ll thrive working in a fast-paced environment. And be able to think of exciting new ideas, develop and execute them successfully. Along with bringing new ideas and thinking to the team to help keep the thinking fresh.
