Role Description

The Video Production Consultant will be responsible for supporting our growth in innovative research, particularly low-cost technology, to reduce global health disparities, expand healthcare access, and innovate healthcare solutions that improve survival especially in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). We are looking for creative individuals with the ability and initiative to help us connect with the public, including potential and existing collaborators and partners. Pay is dependent on project(s) assigned.

Duties

• Shoot and edit original content for various platforms
• Edit content in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
• Create graphics and animations for videos
• Research social trends in relation to videos
• Research video concepts and gather relevant assets for ongoing projects
• Write scripts and develop storyboards
• Provide day-to-day communications and general project support for multidisciplinary programs
• Engage with potential and existing stakeholders to support initiatives
• Attend, and occasionally moderate, meetings
• Represent Baylor Global Health at local events as needed
• Travel domestically and internationally as possible (all expenses paid)

Minimum Requirements

• Confidence working with Adobe Premiere and familiarity with Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects
• Strong understanding of marketing and advertising strategies
• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of videography and photography
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with internal and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and organized with capacity to multi-task, meet deadlines with general guidance
• Capacity for self-management, prioritization, and adaptation within a fast-paced team environment

Preferred Requirements

• Experience shooting and editing product marketing videos and documentaries
• Comprehensive knowledge or experience with global health work and its key issues
• Adeptness in learning new computer software programs, with proficiency in design and data visualization
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
