THE COMPANY

Youth Prospects LLC (YP) is a sports media startup that rose to internet virality in the late 2010’s. Documenting Major League Baseball draft prospects, Youth Prospects created an entirely new industry, Youth Baseball Media. Beginning as an instagram page featuring videos from around the internet, YP provided a platform for promising youth baseball players to be seen by coaches, athletes, and fans. Since 2019, YP has transformed into a media company, providing the highest quality video coverage of amateur prospects. This involves short form content on Instagram and Tik Tok, as well as long-form docu-style content on YouTube. The company has prided itself on video production quality, providing an unrivaled product to millions of viewers.

THE POSITION

As YP undertakes new projects, it is seeking a talented and dedicated videographer to work with us on a primarily seasonal basis. In this position, you will be instructed in our video style and mechanics to then combine with your own creativity to create beautiful and compelling content. You will be filming and editing both short and long-form videos for our social channels and YouTube. Our primary focus is creating highly engaging content on YouTube ranging from game footage to documentary style ‘Day in the Life’ videos.

This position will begin on a seasonal contract with opportunities for further work. You will be hired for the months of June-August to cover our summer tournament schedule. You will work closely with our team to coordinate coverage of events and games.

We are seeking videographers in Atlanta, Georgia and South/Central Florida.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide pre-game and game footage of assigned games/tournaments
• Meet and interact with players
• Edit long-form content in a timely manner after games
• Edit same-day short-form content after games
• Meet with our team consistently during summer months to coordinate coverage
• Travel as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of videography experience
• Ability to provide portfolio of work
• Experience with Adobe Premiere
• Experience with Sony Alpha cameras is preferred but not necessary
• Ability to provide own camera
• Understanding of the YP aesthetic and the ability to replicate it (with instruction)
• Basic understanding of baseball
• Willingness to be outgoing and personable with players and coaches
• Willingness to work with a small intimate team
• Full availability during the summer with part-time availability during our ‘offseason’
