The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Visual Designer to join our Global Architecture & VM team for Penhaligon’s and Kama Ayurveda based in London. In this role, you will design and develop worldwide campaign roll-outs across windows, in-store animations, pop-ups, branded point of sale display materials and VM standards. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract of 6 months with the possibility of an extension.

What you’ll get to do

  • Participate in project briefings and engage in creative team discussions to fully understand key marketing strategies and implement these into successful roll outs.
  • Create impactful and exciting design proposals and visualisations that respond to the Brands’ DNA and specific briefs.
  • Develop selected concepts into 3D proposals, taking into consideration budgets and feasibility in terms of rolling out schemes into varied environments and in-store merchandising requirements.
  • Develop in-store campaign merchandising guidelines for global retail and wholesale environments.
  • Create simple technical drawing packs.
  • Create coherent and detailed briefing documents for suppliers and liaise throughout the prototyping process working hand in hand with the Project Management team.
  • Ensure design solutions reflect business needs.
  • Keep abreast of visual merchandising design trends within the industry.

We’d love to meet you if you have

  • Relevant 3D Design experience within the Beauty, Luxury or Consumer industries.
  • A strong design portfolio demonstrating 3D displays and/or environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of SketchUp is vital. Adobe InDesign and Illustrator necessary for producing document layouts.
  • 3D drawing and rendering software familiarity, preferably Layout and V-Ray, is advantageous.
  • Highly creative, with the ability to come up with design concepts and ideas from scratch and imagine how they may be brought to life.
  • High level of design skills with good technical drawing skills. Sound knowledge of materials and finishes.
  • Self starter, able to work autonomously, driving momentum on multiple projects and proactively planning ahead.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, can do attitude.
  • Sensitivity to luxury and good attention to detail.
