Job Description

Sumer Innovations is seeking an experienced Commercial Interior Designer to join our network of design professionals. As a Commercial Interior Designer, you will be responsible for meeting with clients, gathering project details, preparing drawings and specifications, creating budgets and proposals, and managing project timelines. You will work independently or create a team within our platform and collaborate with construction project managers to ensure design requirements are met.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in restaurant, commercial storefronts, hotels, or multi-family industry
• Managing project budgets and working closely with construction project managers
• Strong FF&E design selection process
• Ability to create design concepts, renderings, space planning, floor plans, and elevations
• Proficiency in Revit and other interior design and rendering software
• NCIDQ certification or actively working towards it

Working with Sumer Innovations

As an Independent Contractor with Sumer Innovations, you will work on a variety of exciting projects that fit your skills and qualifications. We will market for you locally and nationally. You have the flexibility to work remotely on your own or create a team within our platform and manage your projects with our guided support. This is a part-time position that allows you to keep your full-time job.

Pay and Benefits

• Contract position
• Pay starts at $50.00 per hour

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Required)

Experience Requirements

2 years of working experience in a relevant industry (Required)

License/Certification Requirements

• NCIDQ certification (Preferred)

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 25% (Preferred)
