Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Content Designer to join a dynamic team within a prominent public body. As a Content Designer, you’ll be involved in shaping end-to-end service journeys, ensuring seamless user experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass crafting and refining various digital and offline content pieces, aligning them with user needs and government policy.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in crafting web content, demonstrating expertise in creating user-friendly and accessible material.
• Strong proficiency in utilizing data and user feedback to refine and develop content effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in fostering and managing stakeholder relationships for successful content outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with content publishing systems to support content dissemination and management.

Location & Working Arrangement:

The role can be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, necessitating occasional travel to other locations. Presently adopting a hybrid working model, the public body offers flexibility between office and remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Autonomously create and enhance content for comprehensive services, simplifying complex language and processes.
• Implement appropriate content styles and standards to ensure consistency and accessibility.
• Analyze and manage relationships between stakeholders, utilizing evidence to guide decisions amidst competing priorities.
• Collaborate with user researchers to grasp user needs based on robust evidence and translate these into actionable content strategies or services.
• Develop content for designated business areas, contribute to program assurance activities, and actively engage in community-based initiatives.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Initially 12 months, with the potential for extension up to 23 months.
• IR35 Status: Inside.
