Job Description

As a Web + Graphic Designer at Mala the Brand, you will be responsible for executing tasks to support our digital marketing efforts and help drive our mission to replace toxic candles on the market. Your day-to-day tasks may include:

• Creating social media graphics for Instagram, including ideating and structuring campaigns to support organic community growth
• Planning and designing emails using Figma & Klaviyo, monitoring analytics to optimize campaigns, managing and updating automations, and conducting A/B testing
• Assisting with updating and maintaining Shopify apps, such as the pre-order app, customer loyalty, and affiliate programs
• Managing Shopify and website maintenance, including CSS and HTML editing, troubleshooting glitches, and supporting backend issues
• Editing product shots for the website and social media use
• Helping with packaging development by ideating, designing new, and implementing edits as needed

Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma, Mila, etc.)
• Prior experience in a DTC or start-up environment
• Experience working directly within Klaviyo and Shopify platforms
• Fluent in CSS and HTML for website maintenance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for editing copywriting
• Proactive and able to take initiative
• Comfortable with multitasking and attention to detail
• Collaborative and committed to teamwork
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Additional Information

Term: Approximately 30-35 hours per week

Location: Remote, with monthly in-person meetings in Vancouver (ideally)

Start Date: ASAP
