Job Description

• Must be adept with Adobe Creative Suite and experienced with web builder programs such as Wix, Squarespace, Duda, Wordpress, Sitefinity, etc.
• Experience with designing websites from scratch.
• Able to implement updates to the design of existing sites.
• Able to create with thought and attention to user experience as well as site aesthetics.
• Create and implement graphics/designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of a project within established branding.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (for full-time position this is a must).
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal viewing experience across different devices.
• Must have basic understanding of the back-end structure and set-up of hosting/databases/domains/SSL and be a tech-savvy creative problem solver who is willing to figure it out.
• Familiar with designing for email builders such as Constant Contact and Mailchimp.
• Strong graphic design skills and professional experience in print (brochures, newsletters, fliers) and digital (website layouts, social media graphics, and email campaigns).
• Layout skills: ability to see the big picture of the project and then perfect the details.
• Analytical skills: understand the assets of a project (details, notes) and draw conclusions from them.
• Creativity: ability to create new and exciting visual pieces for each client’s specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a web designer/graphic designer. These are NOT entry level positions.
• Take-charge personality and ability to work independently.
• Not afraid to offer suggestions but also willing to accept feedback.
• Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Possess a 100% grasp of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Live in the Eastern Time Zone.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Information

This is a remote job position, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. although there is some flexibility with hours. There is significant room for growth based on skill set and contributions to the company. Designers are paid as independent contractors (1099s) and are responsible for their taxes. All new hires start with a two-week trial and evaluation, followed by a second evaluation after another month due to the nature of the remote working structure.
