Job Description

IT Services is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join the Student Information Systems Team at Loughborough University. The successful candidate will be responsible for software development in formal projects, system enhancements, and support, specifically for the university’s Student Information Systems. Strong technical skills, preferably in Oracle or web-based technologies, are required, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Previous experience in the Higher Education sector is preferred.

Requirements

• Experience in software development for corporate applications in an enterprise database development environment (e.g., Oracle, SQL-Server, MySQL)
• Proven skills in developing applications for a web-based environment (e.g., Oracle APEX, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP)
• Experience in analyzing complex, large, corporate information systems and business processes
• Ability to work across multiple workstreams simultaneously

About the Team

The Student Information Systems Team consists of 17 IT professionals who provide business analysis, software development, application support, and systems management for the university’s Student Information Systems. They work collaboratively with managers and professionals from across the university.
