Contract: Part Time, Full Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a professional web designer for the position of WordPress Designer / Full Stack Developer. This is a full-time position at our location in the Ventura County area.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in WordPress design and development for custom and template-based sites.
  • Strong front-end development skills: HTML, CSS. (JavaScript and/or PHP a plus.)
  • Strong back-end development skills with PHP (PHP Frameworks are a plus).
  • Experience with front-end: HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap.
  • Experience with MySQL Database and SQL queries.
  • Experience with MySql, Sass, Java Script, and Jquery.
  • Experience with Email Servers.
  • Experience with responsive and mobile design techniques.
  • Knowledge of hosting, site migration & DNS zone files a plus.
  • SEO familiarity is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to explain complex problems in a simple way.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with clients is essential.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of a web project: hosting, set up, dev environment, theme selection & customization, testing, launching, maintenance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot site issues, develop workarounds, recommend design adjustments and UX enhancements.
  • Update client sites as needed, including plugin updates and minor cosmetic changes when requested.
  • Translate client needs/vision into functional, attractive front-end.
  • Input client-supplied content into sites as they are being developed.
  • Aid Project Manager in outlining requirements, project planning, and estimates.
  • Responsive to inquiries and timely delivery of completed projects or milestones.

  • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
  • Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
