Contract: Part Time

Job Description:

Kim Armstrong Interior Design is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Junior Interior Designer to join our team. This is an opportunity to be a part of a thriving, award-winning, interior design firm. The candidate will provide support for Kim in developing full home interiors from project conceptualization through furnishings installation as well as renovations and construction documents.

  • Support Kim in the preparation of floor, space, and furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD, 3D renderings, and the production of hand drawings and renderings that communicate design intent.
  • Assist with various design and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain constant communication with Kim and clients regarding project timelines and orders to assure on time completion.
  • Assist with presentations to clients, creating the design concept, expediting, sourcing, creation of contracts and client communication, liaising with the Procurement Manager throughout the ordering process and installing the project.
  • Create and prepare proposals for client submission.
  • Support the Design Team in the preparation and maintenance of interior design plan documents such as finish schedules, matrixes, specifications, templates, and shop drawings.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at the same time and skilled in managing his/her schedule. Must be fast and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Coordinate & oversee installations.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Interior Design.
  • Recent graduate to 3 years of experience in residential interior design.
  • Must be energetic, proactive, detail-oriented, very organized, client-savvy and able to work independently as well as collaborate with the team.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Prefer knowledge of Studio Webware and ability to do renderings.
