Job Description

The web designer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their design requirements and objectives
  • Developing website layouts, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Implementing responsive design principles to ensure websites are mobile-friendly
  • Optimizing websites for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and rankings
  • Ensuring web accessibility standards are met for users with disabilities
  • Using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically After Effects, Illustrator, and Flash) to create graphics and animations
  • Collaborating with developers to implement website functionality using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular
  • Testing websites for functionality, usability, and performance across different browsers and devices
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven experience as a web designer or similar role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Flash)
  • Strong understanding of web design principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for collaborative design projects
  • Experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular)
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards and guidelines
  • Ability to create visually appealing graphics and animations using Adobe Creative Suite tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Other Information

This job is a contract or freelance position with a pay rate starting from $15.00 per hour. The expected hours are no more than 10 per week, scheduled from Monday to Friday. The work location is hybrid remote in Ocala, FL 34475.
