Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our talented team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our cutting-edge software solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a focus on Java 11/ Java 17.
• Strong proficiency in the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with MySQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with at least one frontend JavaScript framework (Angular/Flutter preferred).
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions using Java 11/ Java 17.
• Utilize the Spring Boot framework to build robust and scalable applications.
• Work with MySQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate backend services with Angular/Flutter.
• Demonstrate expertise in the Linux operating system.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as required.

Desired Skills (PLUS):

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes.

Additional Information:

• Temp to hire
• Salary is $40 - 66 USD per hour
• 35 hours per week in the summer, get Friday off (28 hours per week)
• Broadway, NYC
• On-site or Hybrid
