Job Description

We are hiring a Video Editorial Assistant for a top company in San Francisco, CA. In this position, you will be providing editorial support to and collaborating with the creative production and editorial teams. This position will be located on site in the San Francisco office. Responsibilities include:

• Ingesting, transcoding, logging, and labeling incoming media (video, images, audio, and graphics) into the Avid/Avid Interplay
• Syncing audio and video
• Helping maintain Avid project and sequence organization
• Researching, collecting, logging, and digitizing assets for editorial
• Pulling and editing rough assemblies of sound bites and B-roll selects
• Exporting projects in all formats requested
• Gathering sources for finishing
• QC final exports
• Providing logging and transcribing support as needed and syncing scripts in Avid
• Archiving projects as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in video production and editorial
• 3 years’ knowledge of Avid and postproduction software and file types
• Experience with Resolve, color correction, and graphics
• 2-3+ years working in an editorial environment as part of the editorial team
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Eager to grow and excited by new challenges
• Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Capable of making sound decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple demands from various stakeholders with professional diplomacy
• Flexible, receptive, and open to change
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and a problem solver with a desire to contribute to a uniquely creative environment
