Job Description:

We are looking for vibrant, creative interior designers to join our team at our bathroom/kitchen/interior design showroom/shop in Bournemouth. The main projects at the moment are kitchen and bathroom designs/sales/completions. As an interior/bathroom/kitchen designer, you will be responsible for developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements with clients, understanding clients’ needs, developing design concepts, considering materials and costs, conducting feasibility studies, researching and gathering information, producing sample or mood boards, creating detailed working drawings and designs, surveying buildings, working in a team, supervising work at the design stage and on-site, closely collaborating with quantity surveyors, architects, and other design professionals, identifying new business opportunities, and keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry. Additionally, you may occasionally act as a project manager for clients during the construction stage.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in interior design
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills
• Strong ability to develop initial ideas and understand client requirements
• Proficiency in creating design concepts and establishing final briefs
• Knowledge of materials and costs according to budgets
• Experience in conducting feasibility studies for projects
• Proficiency in research and gathering of information and photographs
• Familiarity with producing sample or mood boards
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Ability to survey buildings
• Experience working in a team with other designers and fitters
• Ability to supervise work at the design stage and on site
• Excellent collaboration skills with quantity surveyors, architects, and other design professionals
• Ability to identify new business opportunities and sell services to potential clients
• Keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry

Additional Information:

This is a full-time or part-time position with flexible contract terms and hours. We offer a bonus scheme and other negotiable benefits. The salary ranges from £25,000.00 to £40,000.00 per year. The work location is in person at our showroom/shop in Bournemouth.
