Job Description

MKG is looking for a Producer to lead large-scale programs, oversee smaller-scale projects, and manage freelance production staff. The role involves project management, client management, and overseeing the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and managing event budgets
• Managing client relationships and meeting their needs
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to manage event collateral, marketing materials, and deadlines
• Liaising with in-house Creative, Design, and Operations divisions
• Sourcing venues and negotiating contracts
• Managing vendor relationships and deliverables
• Onboarding and overseeing freelance production staff
• Updating and enhancing production/operations systems and processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of event production experience
• Proven track record of successful productions
• Experience managing client expectations
• Ability to manage detailed production budgets
• Experience negotiating event-related contracts, proposals, and agreements
• Creative problem-solving and organizational skills
• Experience managing teams
• Broad network of contacts and vendors in event production and hospitality
• Ability to travel as needed

Additional Information

• Candidates must live within commuting distance of either the NYC or LA office
• In-person work is required on Tuesdays-Thursdays
• Some positions may have a direct report
• Experience hitting (and exceeding) profit targets
