Job Description

Visual Concepts is looking for a Senior Motion Graphics Artist to work directly on NBA2K game development. This is a temporary role lasting 6 months and can be both remote or in-office. The role involves developing motion graphics for the game alongside a versatile group of User Interface and Motion Graphics artists in the User Interface group.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in a digital art content creation pipeline
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially with remote teams
• Strong sense of color theory, composition, typography, and current design trends
• Proficiency in using Maya and Adobe Suite
• Experience with instanced art asset pipelines
• Ability to offer and take constructive criticism, and take direction well
• Strong work ethic, able to work autonomously and manage time effectively
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems quickly and independently

Additional Information

• No sports knowledge is required for this role
• Leadership or vendor/client relationship experience preferred
• End-to-end knowledge of game production processes and understanding of game engine limitations is a plus
• Experience with realtime shaders in a 3D modeling package and/or game engine, as well as scripting languages and rigging, is beneficial
• Online portfolio or reel may be considered instead of a test for consideration
• Position is based in Novato, California but open to full or hybrid remote work
