Job Description:

Akkodis is seeking a hybrid UX Designer for a contract position with our Fortune 500 insurance client. The job involves a blend of UX design, UX research, UX end user testing, and process improvement. The ideal candidate should have a 70/30 split for design vs. research and should be comfortable with setting up and managing end user testing. They should also have the ability to understand and adhere to design systems, think strategically through the process, and have a mind for process improvement. The candidate should ensure that designs not only look nice but also streamline the process to reduce burden for users and align with business goals.

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate will have about 5 years of UX design experience
• Proactive in communication, good at multitasking, able to conduct their own research, and able to sell different stakeholders on design decisions
• Strong visual design skills
• Solid UX method and ability to drive the process and collaboration with product owners and development teams
• Strong Figma skills required (auto layout, using components, organizing files well, etc)
• Adobe Suite skills are helpful
• Insurance, healthcare, or finance industry experience would be a plus
• Large organization experience is a plus
• Mobile app experience is a big plus
• Should be able to work in a Lean/Agile environment and work with business analysts and developers

Other Information:

• Target Pay Rate: $70/hr W2
• Location: Can sit in either Portland, ME; Atlanta, GA; Chattanooga, TN; Columbia, SC offices
