Job Description

As a per diem/freelance digital content producer at KCBS2/KCAL9 in Los Angeles, you will be responsible for producing content across various platforms including the website, social media, and streaming services. The role involves writing, copyediting, and managing the distribution of news content. You will work closely with both national and local editorial staff to coordinate digital coverage and identify broadcast promotional opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience writing news in a working newsroom
• Strong editorial judgment and a background in breaking news
• Experience with content management systems and AP style writing
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in creating engaging content for various social media platforms
• Video and photo editing experience
• College degree in journalism or communication or comparable work experience
• Understanding of SEO strategies
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends

Additional Information

The hiring salary range for this position is $23.23 - $27.00.
