Job Description

As an Animator, you will work with Sucker Punch’s proprietary tools and engine to create a wide range of compelling character experiences in games. Responsibilities include:

• Working with motion capture data to create realistic animations
• Creating believable hand-keyed animations with convincing motion and performances
• Maintaining active communication within and outside the department
• Being an integral part of the project’s animation mission team

Requirements

• Demo reel or portfolio demonstrating excellence in animation
• Demonstrated understanding of animation principles
• Ability to take and implement direction
• Knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology
• Basic experience working with motion capture data
• Basic experience producing cinematic animations not controlled by a player
• Solid communication skills to collaborate with various team members
• Minimum 5 years of games animation experience

Bonus Factors

• Strong drawing skills
• Experience working with Human IK or Human IK-like rigs
• Camera Layout Experience
• Mocap acting experience

Other Information

• This is a contract position with the option of working onsite in Bellevue, WA, or working remotely in the PST time zone.
• Open to candidates eligible to work in the States or Canada within the PST time zone.
• Position is available for on-site, hybrid, or fully remote work.
• Pay ranges vary based on geographic location, with an estimated base annual pay range for Seattle-based candidates listed as $105,000-$157,600.
