Client: US Field Operating Offices of the Office of the Secretary of the Army

Location: Fort Belvoir, United States

Contract: Full Time, Temporary

Job Description

- Plan work projects, advise on best method of presentation, and recommend techniques and media for effective portrayal in support of the Army Publishing Program.

- Serve as the illustrator on design and construction of Department of the Army publications, Joint publications, and other information and electronic products.

- Discuss each project with the client to determine the purpose of the end-product and the targeted audience.

- Provide advice on technical advantages/disadvantages of various formats, styles, media, and methods of reproduction.

- Research source material to determine size, configuration, and use of equipment/material.

- Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technology to exploit the latest techniques for creative product delivery.

Requirements

- Must be a US Citizen.

- Ability to qualify through specialized experience, education, or a combination of both for different GS levels (7, 9, and 11).

- Knowledge of various computer software programs, design techniques, and visual communication.

- Ability to produce original designs for publications, visual art projects, and transform client ideas into finished visual products.

- Competency in areas like Computer Skills, Customer Service (Clerical/Technical), Design, and Technical Competence.

Additional Information

- Some positions may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
