Contract: Part Time, Contractor

Job Description:

Our education non-profit is seeking a talented User Experience Designer to join our team as a part-time contractor. The User Experience Designer will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging websites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into visually appealing and functional designs.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback for iterative design improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in user experience design
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to create cohesive user experiences

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a User Experience Designer or similar role
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and process
  • Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, UXPin, Visio, etc.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS)
  • Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for business websites
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Passionate about creating user-centric designs
  • Strong understanding of UX principles

  • Job Types: Part-time, Contract
  • Pay: $25.42 - $30.44 per hour
  • Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
