Job Description
Core members of the choir are expected to perform 6 services a week, 5 days a week during the academic year, with a reduced summer schedule. They can offer additional elective opportunities including concerts, weddings, funerals, and services of national significance.
The choir consists of 9 professional singers (3 each of ATB), treble choristers from the resident schools, or professional sopranos. Calls for services include Sunday Eucharist, Sunday Evensong, and weekday Evensong.
Requirements
Applicants should submit a performance resume and two vocal samples to the Cathedral Music Office. Auditions require performing two contrasting songs, with one from the Baroque period. Sight-reading skills will be assessed as part of the audition. Relocation to Washington, DC, is required.
