Job Description:

KCBS/KCAL is looking for a creative and dedicated Camera Technician with great multitasking and storytelling abilities. The primary duty of this role involves shooting quality, compelling, and creative visual content for News Reporters and Producers. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, nimble, and proficient in shooting, lighting, and editing to bring compelling stories to life. This position requires responding to breaking news stories and contributing to original reporting and enterprise stories.

• Ability to direct lighting, set visual look, and technical specifications for projects.
• Ensure high-quality recording of pictures and sounds.
• Collaborate with Talent and Producers, work with ENG vehicles, and maintain gear.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work well under deadline pressure.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an ENG photographer in a large market.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of newsgathering technologies.
• Self-motivated, creative, and able to work in various environments.
• Valid US driver’s license, passport for travel, ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Availability for weekends, long hours, varying shifts, and travel for assignments.

Additional Information:

Hiring Salary Range: $57.94/hr - $64.38/hr
