Job Description

SEMI is looking for an experienced Website UX Design person to join their team. The role involves working with the Digital Marketing team on website design projects, including a critical Website redesign initiative for SEMI. This is a temporary, full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Director, Digital Marketing at the SEMI Milpitas office, with the project expected to last 3 months.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, a passion for website UX and design, and the ability to perform a wide range of website design tasks. They should be willing to learn new skills, take initiative to complete tasks, suggest design improvements, and have a track record of punctuality, diligence, and meeting tight deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

• Review and update designs for pages on the SEMI website
• Ensure compliance with new website design standards
• Ensure compliance with SEMI Brand guidelines
• Update and redesign website components
• Provide banners, infographics, and imagery to update email templates and other digital assets

What Success Looks Like

• Helped SEMI digital marketing redesign the website to match new design specs
• Redesigned existing website forms with a customer-focused UI
• Become the go-to resource for image curation in compliance with branding guidelines

Critical Success Factors/Skills

• Creative digital design skills in UX/UI design
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Great time management and project management skills
• Proven track record of working effectively and collaboratively within teams
• Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently to complete tasks

Foundational Knowledge or Practical Experience

• B.S. in Business, Marketing, or related fields
• 5+ years’ experience with design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Canva, etc.
• 5+ years’ experience with HTML and CSS for website front-end development
• Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Experience in CMS and Drupal a plus
• Understanding of the electronic industry (a plus) or B2B corporations in general
• Experience working in a large team environment
