Job Description
Jak HQ, a creative agency in Chester-le-Street, is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Web Developer to join their team on a part-time basis, with the potential to grow into a full-time role. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications, collaborating with teams to implement new features, writing clean code, optimizing applications for speed and scalability, implementing security measures, and staying updated on web development trends.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have proficiency in HTML/CSS, PHP, JavaScript, experience with unit testing and test-driven development, a strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns, ability to work independently and in teams, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with WordPress Theme and Plugin Development, as well as an understanding of SEO, would be advantageous.
Other Information
- Position: Part-time, with potential for permanent full-time
- Salary: £11.44-£12.50 per hour
- Expected hours: 22.5 per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (No weekends)
- Location: In-person work in Chester-le-Street
