Job Description

This position fills an important role on client-related, front-end development projects and deliverables. The Front-End Developer Contractor will work with team members of all disciplines to ensure completion of work within established timeframes and required specifications. Key responsibilities include performing front-end development, developing new features on existing client websites, participating in code reviews, integrating third-party software, testing and debugging, offering new ideas to the team, and collaborating to execute website and mobile app concepts.

Requirements

Qualifications for the role include at least three years of experience in developing and leading web and mobile app projects with WordPress, writing custom PHP, knowledge of modern front-end development workflows, web technologies such as PHP, HTML, SASS/LESS, and familiarity with modern UI/UX concepts. Candidates should have effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, be self-motivated, and proficient in project management systems.

Desired Skills

Preferred skills for the role include experience with modern PHP development practices and frameworks, website deployment workflows, cloud-based hosting solutions, familiarity with Front-End frameworks like Bootstrap, modern Vanilla JavaScript, JS frameworks/libraries like React/Vue/Angular, and understanding of semantic HTML and web accessibility standards.
