Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Fidelity Investments, you will be a part of the FFIO Market Data Engineering team, working on developing modern market data applications and operating them over public clouds. Your role will involve assisting millions of Fidelity customers in making financial decisions based on the quality of data delivered through these applications.

The team delivers and supports innovative market data service solutions to meet internal and external customer needs, focusing on continuous improvement to enhance the market data experience for Fidelity associates and customers.

This position offers exposure to core Fidelity financial business applications, a mix of custom and 3rd party products, and requires expertise in application development, testing, deployment, and cloud computing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in developing Enterprise applications in Java or Go
  • Experience in Python, Snowflake, Groovy, and Shell Scripting is a plus
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience in designing and implementing real-time Market Data applications
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch/Insights queries and Data Dog
  • Understanding of SRE golden signals, service level metrics, and observability metrics
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Experience with AWS or other public clouds (GCP/Azure)
  • Strong commitment to high engineering standards and learning
  • Experience in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, Cassandra database, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with automated testing (unit/functional and/or performance)
  • Ability to work well in an agile development environment and with team members
