Job Description:

This temporary position, located in Raleigh - Wake County, with the Department of Information Technology’s Strategic Communications Office, seeks a detail-oriented videographer to capture and communicate the department’s mission, initiatives, and stories through visual content. The ideal candidate should be organized, creative, and possess technical expertise to produce engaging videos. Some in-state travel may be required.

Requirements:

• Strategic thinking and commitment to producing high-quality videos
• Organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
• Proven experience as a videographer with a strong portfolio
• Passion for producing compelling visual content
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Ability to operate video production equipment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with motion graphics and animation software
• Familiarity with photography principles and equipment
• Knowledge of writing in AP style
• Understanding of accessibility and usability standards in video and digital signage

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in broadcast journalism, film production, digital media, communications or related) with three years of relevant work experience. A proven track record of producing high-quality video content is necessary.

Additional Information:

• This position works weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
