Job Description
This is a FREELANCE role for an occasion wear Designer at Frock and Frill. The role involves creating original designs and concepts for collections and collaborating closely with the in-house team to bring designs to life. Attention to detail and the ability to create unique designs that align with Frock and Frill’s essence are crucial.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Designer specialising in occasion wear
- Strong understanding of woven, knit, and lace materials
- Experience in designing embellished and embroidered garments
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills, creativity, and attention to detail
- Expertise in creating original designs for an entire collection
- Ability to take ideas from concept through CAD stage and create detailed tech packs for production
- Capacity to independently plan/develop new designs from range plans/shopping lists
- Eye for print and colour, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong grasp of current fashion trends and translating them into unique designs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Capability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing design requirements
- Passion for fashion and knowledge of the occasion wear market
