Job Description

The Part-Time Web Developer and Technology Specialist is responsible for updating, maintaining, and developing websites. They support technology, online platforms, and software systems used by the Division of Strategy and Institutional Effectiveness and the campus Testing and Assessment Departments.

Duties and responsibilities include updating web content, analyzing problems in systems, consulting on systems/programming applications, creating web banners, recommending technology, coordinating website management and maintenance, providing technical support, and developing interactive web strategies.

Requirements

Minimum requirements for the role include a High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent, two years of experience in Web Design or Web Development, or an Associate’s degree. Knowledge of hand coded XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, client/server architecture, web standards compliance, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash are necessary. Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential.

The ability to work a flexible schedule, familiarity with OOP/MVC Design Patterns, PHP, HTTP, Object-C/Cocoa, ActionScript, and other technologies are preferred. Experience in software development with NET, Visual Basic, ASP (VBScript), SQL, XML/HTML is desirable.

Additional Information

• The role is part-time and temporary, located at Wolfson Campus.
• The salary ranges from $12.90 to $21.08 per hour.
• The position reports to the Director of Assessment, Evaluation, & Testing.
