Job Description
Seeking a Digital Media Journalist for i45NOW, the most popular news platform in the Galveston Bay Area. The role involves delivering accurate and timely news to the local community, covering breaking news, and using tools like police scanners. The position starts part-time with the opportunity to transition to full-time by the end of August. Contract pay is based on experience as a digital or TV news MMJ journalist, with a fuel stipend provided.
Requirements
Applicants must have working journalism experience with a TV station, video-based digital news organization, or local newspaper. A clean criminal record, voter registration in Galveston, Brazoria, or Harris County, and reliable transportation are essential. Former military, law enforcement, fire service, or EMS personnel are encouraged to apply. Training is available for candidates with first responder service experience but no previous TV or journalism background.
