Job Description
This role is a 24-month fixed term apprenticeship opportunity at Surrey County Council. As a Content Creator Apprentice, you will be responsible for creating interactive and engaging content for Surrey Youth Voice. You will work closely with the Surrey Youth Cabinet in areas like Health and Wellbeing, Jobs, Economy, and Benefits, and Climate Change and Environment. The role involves collaborating with children and young people to ensure their voices are heard in service delivery and sharing their feedback for positive change. You will contribute to user perspective projects and participation groups while building relationships and creating safe spaces for young people to participate.
Requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, candidates should not be enrolled in another government-funded program as of September 1, 2024, and should not hold a qualification at a higher or the same level as this one in the same subject area. Candidates are expected to complete English and Maths GCSEs if not already achieved. Experience or familiarity with accessing services such as emotional wellbeing and mental health, additional needs, disabilities, or social care services is desired. The role requires a passion for content creation and ensuring young people’s voices are heard.

The User Voice and Participation team at Surrey County Council works to ensure children and young people have a say in the services they use. About your Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship offers a chance to learn and gain experience in a range of duties that will prepare you for future career opportunities. As you progress, you will support service improvement, engage with digital campaigns, and contribute to user perspective projects. A supportive induction period will help you adjust to the role and team environment, guiding you towards a successful career journey beyond the apprenticeship.
