Job Description
American Attitudes, located in New York in the heart of the garment center, is seeking a highly motivated individual with technical design experience to join the team on a freelance basis. The role involves working with the technical design and production team on processing fit samples, building tech packs, preparing fit samples for fittings, assisting with fit sessions, and maintaining fit sample filing systems.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of prior experience in Technical design
- Degree in technical design and/or sweater/pattern-making background preferred
- Ability to perform basic technical design tasks, such as measuring and building tech packs
- Proactive attitude, ability to take direction, and work independently
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Team player with the ability to adapt and multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook
Other Information
- Job Type: Temporary
- Pay: $24.65 - $29.69 per hour
- Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday
- Experience in Garment construction and Fashion design preferred
- Work Location: In person at New York, NY 10018
