Job Description
Be Rooted is seeking a Part-Time Freelance Illustrator to join its Design Team. This is a project-based, remote position with a flexible schedule. The illustrator will be responsible for visually shaping illustrations that effectively communicate the ideas, concepts, and messaging of the Be Rooted brand. The ideal candidate must present ideas to the Creative Director, incorporate feedback, and adjust designs when necessary. Responsibilities include generating original visual concepts, developing sketches, illustrating for various assets & products, maintaining brand identity, and staying updated with industry trends.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must:
- Be proficient in Adobe Illustrator
- Have a strong understanding of color theory, composition, and typography
- Possess a good eye for scale and proportion
- Showcase a strong portfolio with a wide range of illustration styles and techniques
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be willing to sign a non-compete clause
Additional Information
Applications with a portfolio will not be considered. The benefits of the position include a flexible schedule, remote work, expected hours of 20-25 per month, and a pay rate of $50/hr.
