Job Description

Columbia Crossings is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team. This remote, part-time position offers an hourly rate of $40-$60 based on experience. The primary responsibility will be to develop, maintain, and enhance our WordPress-based website, integrating our React-based reservation system and improving our online presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Documentation: Provide clear and comprehensive documentation for future maintenance and updates.
• Site Alterations: Make necessary changes to site formatting and structure as required.
• Feature Development: Collaborate with the team to develop new site features to a professional standard and plan upcoming projects.
• Maintenance: Handle ongoing website maintenance and publish new content intermittently.
• Issue Resolution: Address bugs and issues promptly to ensure smooth site functionality.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure the website and code meet high performance, accessibility, and security standards.
• Integration: Fully integrate our React-based reservation system with our WordPress website.

Requirements

• WordPress Proficiency: Extensive experience with WordPress, including theme development, core functions, and templates.
• Responsive Design: Ability to create responsive websites that adapt to various screen sizes and devices.
• React Knowledge: Familiarity with React and its integration with WordPress.
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate project needs clearly.

Duration

This role is long-term. The initial phase will require about 20 hours over the first two to three weeks to complete the website setup, followed by 5-15 hours per week for ongoing maintenance.
