Job Description

As a Character Tech Artist at CIG, you will join a team at the forefront of character and animation technology to create high-fidelity characters that encompass a multitude of cultures, personalities, and locations across an expansive universe. Your work will involve “hero” characters, digital doubles of notable AAA actors, as well as systems and assets for multiplayer experiences including character creation, aliens, creatures, crowds, and procedural generation. The aim of the roles in Star Citizen and Squadron 42 is to ensure believable characters, creatures, and aliens are delivered at a massive scale.

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) is creating groundbreaking video games, currently developing Star Citizen, a highly acclaimed multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure within the same universe. We are a crowdfunded company, supported by a dedicated community of backers who are helping us achieve our goal of creating the “Best Damn Space Sim Ever.”

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for innovation in art production, pipeline improvement, and tool development.
• Demonstrable relevant experience in the video game development industry.
• Proficiency in 3DS Max/Maya and Photoshop.
• Comfort with scripting and programming languages.
• A collaborative spirit and effective communication skills.
