Job Description

AtkinsRéalis, a world-leading professional services and project management company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Creative Technical Director to join their design team in the Middle East. This role involves directing engineering contributions to projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and translating creative concepts into detailed technical documentation. The Creative Technical Director will collaborate with creative teams, engineers, and vendors to integrate design elements with advanced technologies and create cohesive immersive experiences.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering contributions relative to engineering, code and standards compliance.
• Lead the technical design process, translating creative concepts into detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with creative directors and technical specialists for integrating design elements with advanced technologies.
• Guide the development of design solutions while ensuring aesthetic, functional, and safety requirements are met.
• Coordinate design efforts across disciplines to create cohesive guest experiences.
• Review and approve Ride/Show drawings and deliverables.
• Assess and mitigate execution, technical, and schedule risks.
• Create and present project materials to stakeholders.
• Understand and participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
• Implement policies, procedures, and design standards in attractions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technical direction for themed entertainment projects with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Comprehensive understanding of technical design, construction methods, and systems within themed environments.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for themed entertainment design and construction.
