Job Description

Snap Inc is a technology company focused on enhancing human connections through the camera. Their core products include Snapchat, Lens Studio, and AR glasses, Spectacles. They are seeking a 3D Technical Animator to join the Bitmoji team. The role involves animating 3D characters and props in Autodesk Maya, collaborating with various artists and engineers, troubleshooting animation processes, and optimizing production tools.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in conveying a character’s state of mind, emotion, and intention.
• Ability to solve technical problems related to animation and character setup.
• Expertise in rigging to address diverse animation challenges.
• Strong intuition on timing, spacing, and acting in 3D animation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in 3D Animation, Classical Animation, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in character animation and rigging.
• 3+ years of experience working with Maya.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Experience in creating or building rigging and animation tools.
• Experience in motion capture and motion capture cleanup.
• Experience in making comics and short-form animated content.
• Experience with Lens Studio.
