Job Description

Bernadette, the digital experience arm of the VCCP Group, is seeking a UX Director to lead high-profile projects and set direction for the design team. The UX Director will inspire both clients and colleagues, demonstrating strategic thinking and expertise in design and research, while possessing excellent client service skills. The role requires collaboration with cross-discipline teams, mentorship of junior designers, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include leading workshops, conducting research, developing user experience strategies, and presenting findings to clients.

Requirements

To be considered for the UX Director role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Experience in leading projects and junior team members
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Proven skills in designing project approaches and client proposals
• Strong examples of a range of UX deliverables and outputs
• Evangelize user-centered, mobile-first, and inclusive design principles
• Experience liaising with client stakeholders
• Experience in conducting and hosting client-facing workshops
• Familiarity with remote user testing methods
• Comfortable working within Agile frameworks (Kanban and Sprint)
• Proficient with design and prototyping tools
• Understanding of UX strategy development and implementation
• Excellent presentation skills
• Experience working on and presenting pitches

Software Skills

• Figma
• Google Suite
• Miro (or other whiteboard tools)
• Testing platforms and other research tools
