Job Description

This is an ON SITE position at a dynamic agency specializing in delivering high-quality digital solutions for clients across multiple internal departments. As a Web Designer & Developer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing, highly functional, and user-friendly websites for a diverse portfolio of clients. Your role will encompass both front-end and back-end development, with a primary focus on WordPress and Elementor. Collaboration with creative and technical teams will be essential to deliver top-tier solutions that meet client expectations and provide outstanding user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive websites using HTML and CSS.
• Maintain a working knowledge of PHP.
• Build and maintain websites on WordPress with Elementor, customizing themes and plugins.
• Collaborate with the creative team to implement UI/UX best practices and ensure designs translate into functional, user-friendly interfaces.
• Manage DNS records, site launches, and technical aspects of website setups, including feature integrations and updates.
• Maintain, update, and optimize existing websites for performance, functionality, and security.
• Implement integrations with third-party APIs, tools, and services as needed.
• Work on eCommerce sites (primarily Shopify and WooCommerce) and handle product setups, payments, and plugin customizations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website-related issues, both front-end and back-end.
• Stay up to date with the latest web technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

Requirements

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS for front-end development.
• Strong experience with WordPress and Elementor, including theme and plugin management.
• UI/UX design knowledge and experience with wireframing, mockups, and user testing.
• Technical knowledge in DNS record management, site launches, API integrations, and website security.
• Preferable experience with Shopify for eCommerce projects.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical website issues efficiently.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in web design and development, preferably in an agency setting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in an agency environment, handling multiple client projects.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for web development.
• Familiarity with other platforms such as WooCommerce, Jet Engine, or other CMS/eCommerce platforms.
• Custom plug-in creation & implementation is a plus.
