Job Description

We are a B2B SaaS company based in North America, and we are looking for a Senior BE Java Developer (ideally at the staff level) to join our remote team in Canada. Our platform is a leading modern public safety solution aimed at assisting first responders such as paramedics in accessing real-time data. This role will focus primarily on back-end development with a strong emphasis on scalability and performance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling enterprise services in Java.
• Experience building new microservices and understanding architecture.
• Proficient in design, implementation, and maintenance of API Services.
• Deep understanding of databases, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience leading features for a complex B2B/B2C SaaS platform.
• Experience in building and architecting distributed systems, specifically deploying over AWS.
• Proven ability to own an application end-to-end and address infrastructure concerns.

Compensation

Target FT Salary Range:

• Senior: CA$130,000 - CA$180,000 base a year, with Equity & Health Benefits.
• Staff: CA$180,000 - CA$220,000 base a year, with Equity & Health Benefits.

Additional Information

This role is 100% remote, but candidates must legally be able to work in Canada, as we do not provide visa or sponsorship support. Our technology stack includes Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, Redis, Elasticsearch, and AWS.
