Job Description

Ateema Media & Marketing is seeking a Freelance Content Manager / Videographer to be the public face and content creator for @ChicagoDoes on social media. Responsibilities include filming, client communication, content creation, and voiceover work to promote Chicago’s businesses, events, and attractions. The role involves working closely with the Director of Marketing and a freelance editor to create engaging, on-brand content that resonates with the audience.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

• Social Media Video Production: Proficient in filming short-form content on mobile devices, especially for Instagram and TikTok.
• Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable working with clients, conducting casual interviews, and authentically engaging with an audience.
• Content Strategy & Storytelling: Ability to craft engaging, on-brand content reflecting the tone of @ChicagoDoes.
• Voiceover Writing & Recording: Strong ability to write and deliver engaging voiceover scripts that enhance storytelling.
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills to coordinate scheduling and collaborate with the editing team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with clients and collaborate with the team.
• Background in Journalism or Media: Experience with narrative-driven content enhances storytelling capabilities.
• Marketing Insight: Understanding of basic marketing principles to balance entertainment with key messaging.
• On-Camera Experience: Comfort in conducting live interviews and engaging on-camera with others.

Tools and Equipment

• Provided: DJI gimbal, Rode microphone set for high-quality audio recording, Adobe Creative Suite access.
• Required: High-quality smartphone for video capture, personal laptop, external storage for footage, and headphones for audio checks.

Location & Schedule

• Hybrid: In-office one day per week (River North location) with flexible scheduling; local travel for filming as needed.
• Remote Work: Non-office days are remote, allowing flexibility for local shoots.
