Job Description

Bear Down Brands is a network of consumer brands focusing on premium home, health, and personal care products. We are looking for a remarkable, freelance/contractor Social Media Video Content Creator for our five consumer brands: Pure Enrichment, Bentgo, Verilux, Brusheez, and EasyLunchboxes. The ideal candidate will have a history of exceptional social media content creation, especially related to food storage, health, wellness, and baby products. This part-time/contractor role requires exceptional project management, communication, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach within our fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture. Approximately 15 hours per week to start.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Digital Marketing, Social Media Manager, and Social Media Specialist on social strategy while ensuring brand standards for social media channels.
• Independently lead and develop our brands on TikTok with engaging content focusing on product launches, campaigns, FAQs, and partnerships.
• Plan, produce, and edit high-quality video content for TikTok, which may also be repurposed for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Social Ads.
• Shoot content primarily using an iPhone, with potential use of other provided professional camera equipment.
• Edit and refine content to meet brand standards and optimize for various social media platforms.
• Project manage assigned projects and content deliverables, ensuring timely completion.
• Assist in updating the broader Marketing Calendar with social video content.
• Organize and file internally shot social content for future use.
• Attend and assist on local video and photo shoots in Orange County.
• Support the Social Media Team with miscellaneous projects as needed.
• Stay updated on marketing and social media trends, providing new strategic ideas.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with social media platforms.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience creating high-quality social media content for a consumer brand.
• Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends, features, and best practices.
• Proficient in shooting content with an iPhone; familiarity with professional camera equipment is a plus.
• Strong video editing skills and proficiency in editing software/tools.
• Creative and efficient approach to producing social content quickly.
• Familiarity with wellness, food, lifestyle, family, health, and home décor is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized self-starter with a resourceful attitude.
• Comfortable both on-camera and behind the camera.
• Experience with Asana and Slack is very helpful.
• Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
