Job Description

Full Stack Developer (.Net) - Our client, a prestigious Federal contractor, is seeking Junior/Mid Full Stack .Net Developer to serve as an active member of the software development team participating in daily stand-ups. The role is mostly remote, and the candidate will need to be in the DMV area and available to come onsite when needed for several days in a row for testing, meetings, or other tasks. Our client is looking to onboard as a 6-month contract to hire.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilize full-stack development expertise that ranges from client development of markup and styling to OS level services and server-side containers and database technologies.
• Contribute to the design and development of C# .NET core applications and hardware driver development.
• Experience with scripting languages such as bash, python, and PowerShell.
• Design pattern implementations, including REST and dependency injection.
• Support Docker desktop containers.
• Database support for PostgreSQL code-first or database-first.
• Document software designs, which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions, etc.
• Use Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools to include VSCode and GIT.
• Comfortable with both Linux and Windows operating systems and environments.
• Provide Tier 3 / 4 engineering support, as needed, for solutions deployed to production.

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

• Must be US Citizen due to government requirements with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science and 2-5 years’ software development experience; two additional years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Distributed system design and development with Microsoft .NET environment.
• Familiar with build pipelines, including Jenkins with SonarQube.
• Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and a delivery mindset.
• Middleware and User Interface driven applications.
• Agile development experience.
• Proficiency in Git, Git Tools, including GitLab.
• .NET 6 development experience.
• Docker experience.
• Entity Framework with code-first or database-first experience.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.

Additional Information

This position requires the candidate to be comfortable with remote work while being available on-site in the DMV area as necessary. The initial contract period is 6 months with the potential for hire.
