Job Description

Our Product Designers play essential roles in the strategy, design, and optimisation of beautiful ideas, products, and services. They bring intelligent thought and craft output, developing and delivering projects from brief to end user.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of setting up and operationalising a design system for a globally renowned company. This system will incorporate a new look and feel while scaling for their multiple brands across an array of touchpoints and services that impact millions of users. You will lead a multidisciplinary team regarding approach, deliverables, and future development of the design system. Additionally, you will regularly interact with senior stakeholders, delivering high-priority projects that create meaningful value rapidly.
You will also guide and mentor other designers on the team, fostering empowerment and progression throughout AKQA.
Requirements
• Collaborate with product teams across the organisation to gather needs and requirements.
• Conduct workshops with clients and various teams within AKQA.
• Take initiative in delivering value and creating opportunities with clients.
• Provide equal competency in both UI and UX design.
• Ensure the quality of output from design and development.
• Work with development teams to bring the design system to life.
• Inspire clients with innovative approaches to complex challenges.
• Transform data into actionable insights that highlight design opportunities.
• Conceive, sketch and pitch original ideas to peers and business owners.
• Skilled in using the latest design and prototyping tools.
• Frequently validate ideas with end users.
• Strong experience in presenting work to clients and stakeholders.
