Job Description

Lacy Jessica Photography LLC is a luxury photography brand specializing in weddings, portraits, and family photography. We’re known for creating editorial and candid experiences, thoughtfully curated for our clients. We’re seeking an energetic and creative Assistant to join us on shoots, helping with photography, videography, and behind-the-scenes content creation to enhance our client experience and social media presence.

Requirements

• A passion for photography, videography, and content creation with a willingness to learn on the job.
• Basic understanding of video composition and shooting techniques is a plus but not required.
• A good eye for storytelling, especially for behind-the-scenes and social media content.
• Proficiency in using apps like TikTok, Instagram, or other content editing tools.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 30 lbs).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make clients feel at ease.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, especially during busy seasons.
• Experience with cameras, lighting, or other photography/videography equipment is a plus but not required.
• Reliable transportation to shoots in Newberry, FL, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and breaking down photography and videography equipment (lighting, tripods, etc.).
• Handle and adjust lighting and other gear during sessions and events to ensure optimal image and video quality.
• Capture behind-the-scenes moments during sessions and events using your smartphone.
• Create engaging content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, showcasing our work and client experiences.
• Assist with filming video content, including short-form features and reels, as directed.
• Help with posing clients and providing feedback to ensure they feel comfortable and confident on camera.
• Learn basic photography and videography techniques and assist with second shooting as needed.
• Ensure the smooth flow of sessions, keeping track of timelines and assisting with organization.
• Provide support during weddings and events, including carrying equipment and scouting shoot locations.

Additional Information

Job Types: Contract, Freelance

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 20 per week

Schedule: Weekends as needed
