Job Description

In this role, you will be immersed in the business of fashion and be a key contributor to the evolution of ZIMMERMANN’s seasonal collections. The successful candidate will possess a personal style, creative instincts, and strong design skills expressed through hand illustrations and computer-aided design. Responsibilities include researching creative ideas, developing seasonal materials, maintaining digital design boards, attending design meetings, producing illustrations for pattern makers, ensuring proper execution of complex finishes, and presenting samples for range reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

• A fashion design degree from a respected Australian or international institution

• An understanding and connection with the Zimmermann brand aesthetic

• Ability to demonstrate creative instincts and a distinct point of view

• Possess clear design and communicative skills

• Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign skills

• Good technical garment and fabric knowledge

• Strong drawing ability
