Job Description

Retailer Web Services (RWS) is seeking a Web & Graphic Designer to join our talented team. The role involves building new websites using the Bootstrap 3 framework and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure visually remarkable products and clean coding to the latest web standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and update a continuous stream of client websites.
• Provide website support and updates for internal departments.
• Work closely with in-house departments to complete tasks.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve website-related issues.

Requirements

• Ability to hand code HTML and CSS on a Bootstrap framework. A code evaluation test will be administered to confirm skills.
• Proficient in Sublime (or other text editors) and Adobe Photoshop, with Illustrator as a huge plus.
• Proven ability to professionally design and hand code a website from start to finish.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and jQuery is advantageous.
• Applicants must provide a portfolio site or recent examples of their most current, relevant work.
• Candidate will be required to complete and pass a background check upon offer of employment.
• Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, tools, and software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to take detailed notes.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and a strong work ethic; able to thrive in a team environment.
• Flexible working hours between 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
• No travel required.

Work Environment

The position will involve frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. The employee must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and will work in a general office environment with moderate noise. The role is mostly sedentary but may involve brief periods of walking or standing. Frequent computer use at a workstation for extended periods is expected, along with public contact requiring appropriate business attire.
