Job Description

We’re seeking a creative and motivated freelance content creator to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling content across various platforms to support our marketing campaigns and enhance our clients’ online presence. A significant part of this role will involve being on-site with our clients in Central Virginia to capture high-quality photos and videos for digital marketing campaigns. Responsibilities

• Content Development: Create high-quality, engaging social media and digital content that aligns with our clients’ brands and marketing goals, including on-site photo and video shoots.
• Research & Ideation: Stay updated on industry trends and gather insights to inform content creation, brainstorming fresh content ideas for the team.
• Content Calendar Creation: Collaborate with account managers to develop monthly content and campaigns.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to understand client needs and align content with campaign objectives.
• Analytics & Reporting: Assist account managers with tracking and analyzing content performance to recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in content creation and passion for social media, photography, and videography. A portfolio of social media posts/accounts managed with metrics is required.
• Skills:
• Strong professional aesthetics for high-quality photo and video capture.
• Extensive knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Experience with photo and video editing tools and design tools like Canva.
• Ability to write engaging captions.
• Creativity and excellent time management skills.
• Additional Traits: A strong work ethic, team mentality, and positive, energetic attitude are essential.
• Equipment: You will need to supply your own computer; professional photography and videography equipment is a bonus.
• Location: Ability to travel to clients’ locations in Central Virginia; access to a vehicle is required.

Hours & Compensation

Hours: Approximately 5-10 hours weekly, with a flexible schedule depending on account needs, mixing in-office and onsite content gathering. Compensation is a competitive hourly rate based on experience.
